Birthdays come once a year and everybody born on the same day shares yours. Day-count milestones are different: they arrive on dates that have nothing to do with your birthday, and the first big one, 10,000 days old, lands at about 27 years and 4 months.

Only the first four are likely for most people to see with plenty of warning. 30,000 days, at 82, is beyond the current US life expectancy of 79.
Why 27 years and 4 months?
A year has 365 days, plus a leap day roughly every four years, so the average is 365.2425 days. 10,000 ÷ 365.2425 is 27.38 years. The 0.38 of a year is about 4 and a half months, which is why nearly everyone's 10,000th day falls a little over four months after their 27th birthday. Someone born on January 1 always lands on May 19; someone born on June 15 lands on October 31.

Your 27th birthday is day 27 × 365 + leap days, for example 9,862 with seven leap days. The rest, 138 days here, you count forward on a calendar.
